How to Play

The object of the game is to reach 21 points or to reach a score higher than the dealer without exceeding 21.

The player or players are dealt an initial two-card hand and add together the value of their cards. Face cards (kings, queens, and jacks) are counted as ten points. A player and the dealer can count his or her own Ace as 1 point or 11 points. All other cards are counted as the numeric value shown on the card. After receiving their initial two cards, players have the option of getting a “hit”, or taking an additional card. In a given round, the player or the dealer wins by having a score of 21 or by having the highest score that is less than 21. Scoring higher than 21 (called “busting” or “going bust”) results in a loss. A player may win by having any final score equal to or less than 21 if the dealer busts. If a player holds an Ace valued as 11, the hand is called “soft”, meaning that the player cannot go bust by taking an additional card; otherwise, the hand is “hard”.

The dealer has to take hits until his or her cards total is hard 17. Players win if they do not bust and have a total that is higher than the dealer’s. The dealer loses if he or she busts or has a lesser hand than the player who has not busted. If the player and dealer have the same point total, this is called a “push”, and the player does not win or lose money on that hand.

Depending on the table, there are also certain bonus bets that can be made. Ask your dealer for explanations on these bonuses.

How to Play

Roulette players have a variety of betting options. Placing inside bets is either selecting the exact number the ball will land in, or a range of numbers based on their proximity on the layout. Players wishing to bet on the ‘outside’ will select bets on positional sections, rows, the color, or whether the winning number is odd or even.

The roulette table posts minimum and maximum bets. For inside bets at roulette tables, we use separate roulette table chips of various colors to distinguish players at the table. Players can continue to place bets as the ball spins around the wheel until the dealer announces, “no more bets”.

When the winning number and color is determined by the roulette wheel, the dealer will place a marker, also known as a dolly, on that winning number on the roulette table layout. When the dolly is on the table, no players may place bets, collect bets, or remove any bets from the table. The dealer will then sweep away all losing bets and settle all the winning inside and outside wagers. When the dealer is finished making payouts, the marker is removed from the table where players collect their winnings and make new bets.

HOW TO PLAY

The game of craps is played with a pair of dice. In a nutshell, the game is about predicting what the roll of the dice will or will not produce. To begin the game, a person rolls out the pair of dice. This person is known as the shooter. The game of craps has several rounds. The first roll made by the shooter is called the come out roll. If the player first rolls outs a 7 or 11 it’s winning numbers and the game continues. If the shooter rolls out 2, 3 or 12, it’s called craps. The round ends and the next round begins. If the shooter rolls out 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 it’s considered a point and the shooter must continue rolling the dice until he can repeat the point. He must not roll out a 7 in between. If the player does roll the 7 before the point can be repeated, you lose and the round ends.

To understand the game of craps you first need to understand the bets in craps. These will give you a better idea of how the game works

Pass Line Bet:
If you place a pass line bet, you win if the shooter rolls out a 7 or 11. The bet is lost if the shooter rolls out 2, 3, 12 and its called craps. As mentioned above, if the shooter rolls out a point number (which are 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) the shooter must continue rolling the dice until he can repeat the point. If the point is repeated the pass line bet wins. If a seven is rolled out in between, you lose the bet.

Come Bet:
This bet is made after the point on the pass line bet is established. You can place your bet and wait for the point to be established. If the first roll is a 7 or 11 you win, this bet also wins if your point is repeated.

Don’t Pass Line Bet:
This bet is just the opposite of the pass line bet. If a the shooter rolls out a 7 or 11 you lose, but if he rolls out craps numbers 2 or 3 you win.

Don’t Come Bet:
This is the come bet in reverse. Once the come point is established if the shooter rolls out a 2 or a 3 you win and you lose if a 7 or 11 is rolled out.

There are also single-roll bets, and multi-roll bets. As you can see, there a lot of ways to win in Craps!

HOW TO PLAY

In Baccarat, it’s a simple as comparing the player’s score to the banker’s, although you can bet on either one. Cards have a point value: cards 2–9 are worth face value (in points); 10s, Js, Qs and Ks have no point value; Aces are worth 1 point. Hands are valued according to the rightmost digit of the sum of their constituent cards: for example, a hand consisting of 2 and 3 is worth 5, but a hand consisting of 6 and 7 is worth 3 (i.e. the 3 being rightmost digit in the combined points total: 13). The highest possible hand value in Baccarat is 9.

Baccarat is dealt from a shoe 8 decks of cards shuffled together. For each hand, two cards are dealt face up to each hand, starting from “player” and alternating between the hands. The croupier may call the total. If either Player or Banker or both achieve a total of 8 or 9 at this stage, the hand is finished and the result is announced: Player win, a Banker win, or tie. If neither hand has eight or nine, the drawing rules are applied to determine whether Player should receive a third card. Then, based on the value of any card drawn to the player, the drawing rules are applied to determine whether the Banker should receive a third card. The hand is then finished, the outcome is announced and winning bets are paid out. Then, once you’re done cheering and celebrating, another round begins.
