Alex Prime is a luxury New York-style steakhouse at the historic El Cortez Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas. USDA Prime cuts, slow-roasted prime rib, fresh seafood, Italian-rooted pasta and showstopping desserts are paired with a New World wine collection and a cocktail program rooted in El Cortez lore. The elegant dining room offers emerald-green banquettes, cognac leather and gold detailing. Established in 1941, El Cortez’s early owners included mobsters Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel and Meyer Lansky, and it later became a hang for the Rat Pack. Alex Prime is just steps from the casino and main entrance, which offers complimentary valet parking. Open daily from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.
